4th of July in Beatty
Fourth of July in Beatty feels like a small-town movie scene—in the best way. Cottonwood Park fills up with lawn chairs, shade tents, and people wandering around saying hi to everyone because… we pretty much know everyone.
The day is full of old-school fun: sack races, egg tosses, three-legged races, and kids laughing so hard they can barely run straight. It’s simple, goofy, and exactly the kind of “remember when” stuff people talk about all year.
There’s plenty of food to keep everyone going—burgers, hot dogs, cold drinks, and whatever goodies people bring to share. Locals and visitors mingle under the trees, swapping stories and trying to stay one step ahead of the July heat.
As the sun starts to drop behind the hills, the whole park settles into that perfect desert twilight. Kids grab glow sticks, people spread out blankets, and the whole crowd kind of shifts into “okay, showtime” mode.
Then the fireworks start—and the hills turn into a giant echo chamber for every boom and crackle. For a tiny town, Beatty puts on a big, bright show, and when it’s over, folks head home dusty, happy, and already talking about “next year’s Fourth.
